My goals in the future are to become a Division I-III rower and also to earn a degree in the STEM field. I would like to major in Aerospace Engineering. Throughout the end of Middle School till High School, I've always been interested in computer science, programming, and engineering. I am also currently taking several advanced classes such as Intro to Engineering Design, Precalculus, AP Chemistry, DP Physics HL, DP Language and Literature HL, AP Microeconomics. What makes me a good rower for a team is that even if I may not be the best rower on the water, I have a strong determination to do well and strive so that hopefully I can row on the 1V. I always have set goals for myself so that I can always improve each year. I also tend to perform better in Spring Season when our team focuses more on sprints. Aside from Crew, I am a hardworking student. Every year in Middle School, I would be part of the Academic Honor Society because I retained good grades. I am currently part of BPA, HOSA at Huron. Both my Freshman and Sophomore years, I have qualified for States Tournament. I started Crew my freshman year and have continued since. My peak was achieved during my second season. This was during spring season when I was able to grasp the fundamentals of the sport much more than I had before. This led to me being chosen for the Midwest Rowing Championships. Along with rowing, I sometimes do weight training with my coach, Srikar. Srikar teaches weight drills which help out with the technique on the boat. I have a strong ambition to get better at rowing which is why I take advantage of these extra training sessions that Huron Crew offers. I am planning to continue taking rigorous tasks for the last two years of High School. Even if the work may be strenuous, I believe in myself to be able to fulfill those tasks.
