Personal Statement

I joined the RFH rowing team fall of Sophomore year.  I will be graduating high school in June 2025 and plan to study engineering.  I will be at Navy Day and Head of the Schuylkill in October.

In the summer of 2024, I made significant leaps having attended the US Rowing Development Camp in Tennessee from June 30 - July 13 2024.  I've noticed significant improvement in my water skills, sculling skills and erg time since returning.

In the spring of 2024, I competed in the Jr 4+.  We participated in 4 regatta's and placed or advanced to semis in each regatta.  We placed 2nd in our first race (Lake Lenape Sprints), 3rd at Garden State Championships and therefore qualified for SRAA Championships, and qualified for Semi's at the highly competitive Mid Atlantic Championships and Stotesbury Cup.  At Stotesbury, we came in 5th out of 65 boats from around the country.

Every training session I strive to get better, and in doing so I've motivated my teammates to strive to be the best.  My upside is unlimited.  I’m passionate about working out.  I lift, erg, row and run.

Other stats from February 2024 (US Rowing ID Clinic):  100 meter: 862 watts.  1': 532 watts, 38 stroke rate.

I'm a very strong student, see transcript attached.  Senior year classes:  AP Physics C, Honors College Calculus (dual enrollment); Honors College Writing (Duel Enrollment); AP Macro Economics (S1), AP Micro Economics (S2), Engineering II, Ceramics (S1), Dynamic Public Speaking (S2).

Please let me know if you're interested in meeting me. The best is yet to come!

Sincerely,

Christopher
