Hello! My name is Brayden Libby. Currently, I have been rowing for around half a year under Parati and I am looking to compete in college. Although I joined competitive rowing late in my high school career, the wait was worth it as I have found a sport I truly love. Additionally, I have put in an enormous amount of work to catch up to the more experienced members on my team. Rowing has taught me to have patience when a goal is not being met and slow down to dedicate time to the small steps in a journey. Although hard work is a valuable trait, patience and dedication to improvement in rowing are what makes me a unique team member. I am willing to work with others and have patience to get over barriers. As an example, I am training with a team member, Juan, to race a double and pair this fall and spring season. Apart from rowing doubles and pairs at practice, we also row singles beside each other looking for ways to improve our stroke. Currently, I am trying to help Juan with his catch timing at higher stroke rates. Although he may not get the timing down perfectly each day, I still am there to work with him the next day. I believe this will translate well to a collegiate team as there can be various skill levels and ways to improve. Thank you for taking your time to look at my profile! Feel free to contact me by the email and phone number listed if you have any questions.
