Lachlan Laner '21 Recruiting Profile

I am from Australia and have traveled extensively due to my father's work.  Sports have been a huge part of my life and I have competed in soccer, swimming, and cricket but tennis is my passion.  I train with the Korolev tennis academy in Spring, Texas and my private coach is Evgeny Korolev a former top 50 player in the world.  He has been my long term coach and mentor.  I love playing for my school in both singles and doubles.  I have been on the Varsity team since freshman year.  I am very athletic and coachable and I'm always working on improving my tennis game both skill-wise and mentally to become a better player for myself and my teammates.  I am driven and determined to succeed and I learn something new from every match that I play, win or lose.  My aspiration is to play college tennis as I love the game, competition and being part of a team and I believe this will foster hard work and discipline and success in all areas of my life.
