Rowing is my passion. I love being part of a team and bringing my very best every day to that team to excel and win. I want to row in college to reach my highest potential in athletics while being part of a great team who have the same goals to reach our best. It’s impossible to be a great rower without working hard every day on the water and being ‘smart’ off the water. I take my academics very seriously and organize my time accordingly to ensure I bring 100% effort to each practice and regattas. I also want to contribute to a positive, inclusive culture on any team I join. I always make sure to encourage all of my teammates, whether they are on the freshman boat or the 1V to bring their very best and help coach them through challenges to result in a positive outcome. I want to make sure I am a good leader for my team as well. As an Eagle Scout, I have a lot of experience leading my peers in projects and campouts by being welcoming and encouraging. I have brought that mentality to my rowing and it has helped my team immensely in both practice and in competition.
