I started playing soccer when I was five years old. My parents introduced it to me as something that would keep me busy and entertained. After several seasons, it developed into a strong passion. I have been playing winger/midfield for Evangel Christian School since eighth grade on the Varsity and JV squads and have been an important player on both teams. Every day I strive to mentally and physically improve my game in order to accomplish my dream of playing at the collegiate level of soccer. My other passion is my love of drawing and photography. While looking at schools all of these passions will play a big role in my selection. Academically, I plan to major in the field of Fine Arts in order to enhance my talents, with the ultimate dream of starting my own business.
As a player I always look for pass first before I take anybody on with the ball. Before I even get the ball, I visualize what I will do with it. I can visualize space, pass accurately, make runs. I have been improving my speed in all of these with each season I play. I am very quick on my feet and have a lot of stamina to finish strong in all games. My dominant foot is my right, but I have spent several years focusing on developing skills with my left foot. I feel that I am equally skilled at using both feet.
Spring 2018, I put together a good performance gathering six goals and over a dozen assists in a total of twenty-two games Varsity (19) and JV (3). In a divisional Varsity game against Lyman-Ward Military Academy, I scored a hat-trick and had three assists. We also played a game against Hope Christian School, our divisional rivals, where we went to overtime down a player. I was a starter in that game and played the full eighty-minute game, plus a ten-minute overtime. We ended up facing them again in the semifinals for state and won, in which I played a huge role in defending and keeping the lead.
