Brandon Avendaño '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brandon Avendaño. I am a defensive midfielder, but I can also play left back, right back, left wing, and right wing. I’ve played in many different positions at the varsity level since 8th grade. I don’t mind playing in a different position—if my coach puts me there, I’ll do it. However, I prefer playing in a more central role because I love being able to see everything and have the ball at my feet.  

A little about me: I immigrated to the United States when I was 8. Since then, I’ve always been grateful for every opportunity the United States has offered me. I learned English in 1-2 years; I am a very quick learner. I will work harder than anybody because soccer is my only passion and what makes me feel alive. I am grateful for every day I wake up and am able to play the sport I love. What I love about soccer is definitely winning and showing people how much better I am than them. I love proving people wrong and being the best that I can be at this sport. I’ll do anything to play at the next level.
