My name is Anthony Mora Rodriguez. I'm entering my Senior year at Thunderbird High School in Phoenix, Arizona. I started playing soccer at 6 years old at Canyon Pointe Academy in 2014. From 2015-2020, I played for i9 sports as a forward. During junior high, I played for North Pointe Preparatory as a striker. After a penalty shootout, we won the Great Hearts Middle School League in February 2022. Then, I started playing for CCV competitive league for 1 year. After that, I did tryout for CCV Stars Club and was selected to play for the 2007 team as a wing back, a new position for me. I saw my new role as a vote of confidence in my abilities. I participated in many tournaments with my club. Additionally, during Summer 2023, I attended a one week Barcelona Academy Summer Camp in Casa Grande, Arizona. In Fall 2023, I transferred to Thunderbird High School and joined the JV team. I started as a wing back and played an amazing season. I was selected Defensive Player of the Year. During Summer 2024, I attended two ID showcases: Exact Sports in Scottsdale and Future 500 in LA. Last year, I joined Thunderbird High School Varsity Team and had a phenomenal season. We finished 8-6-1 and went all the way to State Quarterfinals. I played for Batavia Football Club for 1 year as a Center back . Because a new Batavia Team could not be made this Summer, I tried out for Phoenix Rush Soccer Club and was offered a roaster spot. I am registered and looking forward for the 2025-2026 season. This Summer, I attended an ID showcase at Grand Canyon University. In addition, I will attend two Showcases at University of Denver and Colorado State University (Pueblo) this month. On the other hand, I was selected and invited to have a Barcelona International Experience and train 9 days in Barcelona, Spain from Nov 22 to December 1. I am registered and excited about it. For the last two Summers, I have been taking Private Trainings at Arizona Sports Complex. I have always been told that I'm a disciplined and coachable athlete. I'm a team oriented, two footed experienced soccer player, so eager to keep learning combining not only my determination but my remarkable passion for the sport.
