Alison Miller '24 Recruiting Profile

My love for volleyball first started in fifth grade, when I attended an after school camp to learn the very basics. From then, my goal was to make the middle school team in 7th grade. Since then, I have been absolutely enamored with the sport, and I am constantly seeking ways to play and know the game better. I am also an extremely committed student, and I have managed to balance a 4.0 GPA in honors classes since middle school. I have hopes of pursuing a career in pharmacy, and to major in biochemistry, biomedical sciences, biology, chemistry, etc.  Something with sciences has always clicked for me, and I would love to help others without having to touch organs! The idea of having an impactful, sought-out-for job is so enticing to me, and it only furthers my want to learn more. Since entering high school, my academic drive, and passion for volleyball has only grown. In my volleyball career, I have faced a significant amount of adversity that has only given me emotional intelligence and mental strength. I am so thankful for the challenges put in front of me, and for my competitive drive that always keeps me going. I don't know where I would be without them.
