Personal Statement
I have loved soccer since a young age playing club soccer in elementary school. I enjoy being a part of a team, working my hardest on the field, while continuing to win at soccer as well. I feel that I am a hard working, well rounded athlete. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership by working hard during practice, games, many tournaments and College ID camps. I showed leadership by being chosen many times as a team captain for my traveling club soccer team, we have gone on to win multiple championships.
I have been blessed to have been able to travel to Belgrade, Serbia to train at the Serbian Nation Team Center, that was an amazing experience. This past summer I was able to do a training session with the Chelsea soccer coaches, in Cobham England at the Chelsea training facility. I feel that through al these experiences I have grown both mentally and physically into a much better soccer player and leader.
Another passion of mine, is my faith in Christ, and I have been blessed to have gone on missions trips to help with hurricane disaster relief and help the needy. This past summer, entering my senior year, I spend a week in Cuenca Ecuador on a medical missions trip with Heartfire missions. I served the needs of so many refugees from Venezuela, amazing local Ecuadorians and local churches as well. It was such a blessing in my life to meet those amazing people, and a privilege to serve them. I plan on continuing my charity work in college.
I am also an accomplished artist and sculpture and have shown in a few art shows and am looking forward to show my creative talent through my college years.
I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. I am an extremely hard worker, I believe I have the talent to compete for a college team. I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
