Michael Ruiz '25 Recruiting Profile

As an attacking midfielder, soccer has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Throughout my life, I participated in various sports including baseball and football, but there was always one that stood out to me - soccer. My life has revolved around soccer, and my dedication to becoming the best player I can be fuels my relentless work ethic. I never miss a practice or game, consistently attend clinics and ID camps, and pursue any opportunity to improve. I take pride in being both a hard worker on the field and a dedicated student off it. Soccer and academics are my top priorities as I strive to reach my dreams. Throughout high school, I have remained on varsity since my sophomore year, earning a starting position and becoming an integral part of my team. I played a key role in leading our school to the CCS finals; though we did not win, I was honored to receive the BVAL Junior of the Year award. Being recognized in such a prestigious league, comprised of 26 high schools across five public school districts in San Jose and Santa Clara County, is truly an amazing feeling. This recognition affirmed that my hard work is being noticed, showcasing the player I aspire to be. I know given  the opportunity I can make a tremendous impact on your team.
