As long as I can remember, I have been a soccer player. However, it wasn't until I was eight that I took the responsibility of playing between the posts. Quickly, I became not just obsessed with soccer as a sport but with my position on the team. Being a goalkeeper became part of my identity, so I strived to be someone my teammates could rely on. Most kids my age did not take soccer as seriously as I did, which intern led me to join training with older kids who alike had their minds set on soccer. One summer, I was invited to a training camp for goalkeepers who wanted to play in college. The camp was for freshmen through seniors in high school. I had just graduated the 5th grade. In the following years, I trained one-on-one with Georgetown University's head Goalkeeper coach, Brian Bouhl, and I played for Bethesda Soccer Club, leading my team through tens of tournaments, one in which I didn't concede a single goal until the finals. Eventually, in 2023, I left Maryland to play soccer for Dunn, a boarding school in California. During freshman year, I played the full season as well as training with University of Santa Barbara head coach Johnny Whallon. With the 2024-25 soccer season just beginning, I am now one of two team captains and starting goalkeeper as a sophomore whilst maintaining an A average in the classroom.
