2020 HighlightsMy name is Nathan Alvarez-Quevedo. I am an honors Senior at the Palmdale Aerospace Academy. One of my main goals this year is showcase my soccer skills in hopes to be a fit for college level soccer. I would like to play on the team for a Division 1 college, and study part of the engineering program.
I started playing soccer at the age of 4. I advanced through several youth teams, where I rotated through different positions and learned the skills needed for all the roles on the field. I found the right fit for my skills and growth. One of my many strengths as a player is commitment; I am loyal to my team, and dedicated to giving my full effort at all practices and games. When I have practice I always make every effort to arrive 1 hour early, properly equipped and mentally prepared. I also show great attitude both on and off the field, by encouraging my teammates and recognizing my own mistakes.
Currently, I play for RealSoCal B03 as a left back and left wing. One of my best plays as a left back is to carry the ball up the line and make a low driven cross to the forwards. My speed and ball skills help me beat the opposing midfielders who try to slow my breakout. I also track back quickly whenever my team loses the ball.
During my High School season, I played on the varsity soccer team all 3 years, my freshman through junior year. During the soccer season I played as a left wing throughout high school. In my sophomore year I was recognized as varsity player of the year. I was one of the top goalscorers to lead my team to CIF.
