My primary goal for university is to be in an academically challenging environment where I can continue to grow as an individual and find the way I can best contribute to the world we live in. I am interested in STEM subjects and moving towards college I have spent my time looking into engineering programs that will be a good balance between real world problem solving and academic research.
As a player, I love every second I spend on the field. From my Portuguese family I have inherited an inner passion for this sport that not only survived, but flourished growing up on the cold, wet soccer fields of Massachusetts and then on to the competitive climate of California. Being a part of a team, representing something larger than myself is part of who I am. I take pride in the club or the school that I play for, and cherish the bonds I have with my teammates.
Energy, commitment, and the pursuit of excellence is what you will see in me from the classes that I take to how I perform as an athlete. What you will find in me is a co-worker, a supporter, a motivator, and a hard-working reliable member of your team that is willing to fail as long as it is on the path to something greater.
Being able to play at the college level would be an amazing component to the education I am hoping to receive, and I am ready to work very hard to make that happen.
I look forward to being a part of your team.
