Caelin Cavanaugh '21 Recruiting Profile

Softball has become an important part of my daily life.  I started playing softball when I was 8 years old and I have been playing softball year-round ever since.  Over the years, I have grown as a player and as an individual.  I cherish the friendships I have made in softball and I like the feeling of being part of a team.  I work hard and maintain a positive attitude.  I have a strong work ethic and have earned the respect of my teammates.  

My goal is to continue playing softball in college at a highly competitive level.  I love to practice and push myself to become better. I have played other sports like basketball, football, and cross country; but the sport that I have excelled in the most is softball.  

My favorite position is 3rd base.  I like playing 3rd because of the intensity of the line drive hits, the fast hops, and defending against the bunts.  I have played 1st base, catcher and outfield or anywhere my team needed me, but 3rd base is where I am most comfortable.

I hope a college with a competitive softball program will provide me the opportunity to play softball at the next level.
