Personal Statement

My name is Myles Groenloh. I have played soccer since the year 2000. I was born and raised in Germany and have played there in clubs since I started soccer. In August 2011 I moved to Colorado to finish my senior year of high school.
I am 6´4" and weigh about 185 pounds. I started in a small local team. I played in that club for 6 years before moving on to another club (Hasper SV) ,winning the division championship and being invited to the county team. After talking to other clubs I went on to the biggest team in the city of Hagen( SSV Hagen) , playing an age group higher and  winning the third highest league championship. After winning the 3rd highest league our team moved up to the 2nd highest league. Mastering this season with  great teammates  and an awesome coach , I switched to a club which played in the higher leagues. In TSC Eintracht Dortmund (U-16) I never really got situated in one team because I was always helping out in older  teams. After helping out in the U-19 and U-18 I finally stayed with the U-18 and we went on to win the 3rd championship of my soccer history. In the summer of 2010 I got invited to SG Wattenscheid 09  to play U-17 Bundesliga ( highest league for the U-17 age group). In the same summer I also got invited to the US National Soccer team U-17 for a soccer camp that went  7 days. I had to leave early (after 4 days) because my season in Germany started. I have been a team captain in various teams. I was an assistant team captain in the county team, team captain in Hasper SV and a team captain in SSV Hagen.
I am not looking for a particular division or location and no particualr size of school. I am planning  to study Social/ Criminal Justice or  something that has to do with law enforcement or criminology. I would like to go to a school that honors hard work and dedication to the sport and the team, on and off the field. Also respect from the team to the coach and the other way around is very important to me.
I play with the motto a coach at Borussia Dortmund gave when I started to play competitive soccer:
I Don´t train to back up  the backup, so work hard and earn the benefit.
