Connor Metzger '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior at Broomfield High School (Broomfield, Colorado) and will graduate Spring 2014. I've been playing soccer since I was five years old. For high school, I've been a starting forward on varsity since I was a freshman. In 2011 and 2012, our team placed first in conference and reached the 4A State semi-finals. Our team reached the State finals in 2010. In each year we were honored as an Academic All-State Team. My individual achievements for the fall 2012 season in my junior include: CHSSCA 4A classification - 1st Team All-state, Conference Player of the Year, 1st Team All-conference, and Denver Post All-Colorado (all classifications) Honorable Mention. In club soccer, I've always been on the highest team and have been the highest scorer on the team. In Spring of 2013, my team (FC Boulder Red U17) was a State Cup finalist and competed in the U18 Super League-Colorado Youth Soccer. I've always wanted to play at the college level. I've been a leader on my teams and one of the hardest working players. I wish to play at the highest level of soccer that my skills and continual growth can take me. Academics are tantamount in my pursuit of a successful college experience. I carry a weighted cumulative GPA of 4.105, and I am taking advanced/AP math and science. I'm open to all schools that provide opportunities for a degree in engineering.
