My name is Vincent Renton and I am in my junior year at Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colorado. I started playing soccer at a young age, and ever since, it has been my passion. It has always been my dream to continue my soccer career beyond high school. I love the team aspect of the game, and I like to push and encourage my teammates so we can all get the most out of every session. I not only play for my high school team, I also have been playing club soccer since I was very young. I play the same positions for both teams: right back and left back. Even though I am a defensive player I am always looking to play a long ball in, or to make an overlapping run to help with the attack. I know how to use my body very well and I go into every tackle as hard as I can. Currently I am on the varsity team at Centaurus High School. We have had a great record this season and we went on to win the league championship.
I played on FC Boulder’s DA (Developmental Academy) team for 4 years. This experience allowed me to surround myself with great players and coaches that helped me to raise my game to the next level. I am now playing on Boulder County United’s EA (Elite Academy) team. Playing on this team has given me the opportunity to travel and play against great teams from all over the country on a national level.
Academics have always been very important to me, and I work hard to maintain good grades. My goal is to play at the highest level possible and to continue to develop as a soccer player while at the same time furthering my academic education. I would like to surround myself with other competitive players in order to further my athletic development. I also hope to find a program that will challenge me academically as I work to earn a degree in business. I am excited to experience new environments and to bring hard work and positivity to wherever I may end up playing.
