Derrin Quinn '23 Recruiting Profile

My faith, as a Christian, is and will always be the number 1 in my life. As a Christ follower I believe that I am called to be the very best that I can be not just in sports, but in all aspects of life. I aspire to be the best athlete that I can be while honoring God and acknowledging that he is my greatest victory. I am, though, very competitive wanting the absolute best for myself and my teammates. The reason I’m so competitive and love sports so much is because I believe they are just like life. In a sports season you have many highs and many lows. There are goals that you and your brothers are striving for, but that goal isn’t close to being easy. I truly believe that sports bring out who you truly are as a person. When you’ve  experienced defeat are you building your brothers up or tearing them down. In the end it isn’t the outcome that you look back on, it’s the journey and all the people that made that season one to remember.
