Playing collegiate soccer is one of my biggest dreams as a high school student. I’ve always known that I would want to represent a college or university on the pitch with their sigma on my chest. Most high school soccer players view soccer as a sport, but for me, it’s my passion. I put my heart and dedication into every team, practice, and game that I’m a part of and with that comes success on and off the field.
I’m different from other recruits in many ways. One way is that I’m a leader. Being a goalkeeper has really shown this throughout the years I’ve been playing soccer. As a gk I need to be able to control my team as well as organize them to give us the necessary results we need. Another way that I am different from other recruits is that I have a high soccer IQ, meaning that I have a vast knowledge of the game and what to do in situations that would otherwise leave other players clueless on what to do next. This helps me play at the next level.
My attitude while playing and in the classroom are very similar. I don’t allow myself to become lazy and fall behind on schoolwork. I strive for the best possible grades, and strong connections with the people in my class to be the best person I can be.
