Ryan Pomroy '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Pomroy and i am currently a junior at Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT. I currently play 3 sports: soccer, baseball, and basketball with a concentrated focus on soccer. I come from a family with a rich sports sports history and i understand the value of team play, sportsmanship, and the importance of team synergy. The 2011-12 soccer season was a big success for the Valley Regional soccer team, reaching the semi-finals in the state tournament and winning the shoreline conference championship.as a junior, i was fortunate enough to earn:  1st team all state honors, the selection to first team all conference, a rating of #3 ranked player in the conference, All-area middletown post team, All district New Haven team, and All Connecticut Hartford Courant team. I am grateful to have a great team and a wonderful coach that reinforces simple touches, team play, and team unity.
I approach my school work and sports programs with a competitive and enthusiastic style. Rarely am i satified with the results and always strive to 'raise the bar'. I am an honors student with a current GPA of 3.65.
After high school my goal is to attend a strong academic college that has the programs in my areas of interest and to earn a position on an exciting and growing soccer program. I would like a program where i can be a strong contributor and a catalyst towards a competitive and winning experience.
