Peter Rivera '18 Recruiting Profile

At the age of six I found a great interest in soccer, I dedicate most of my time to the sport. I started off in travel soccer and over the years, I have gradually moved up to where I am today. I currently play for Southwest FC in the NYPSL (New York Premier Soccer League).  I have been the captain of my team for four years now. Having this title has taught me to be a great leader and player. For the past three years, my team has made it into the State Cup Tournament. Every year we make it  all the way to the Semi-Final and unfortunately, my team has yet to compete in the State Cup Final. Being so close to a State Cup Championship, has encouraged me to keep trying and become a better player. 

Along with playing soccer I also spent a lot of my time focusing on my school work.  Being a student athlete I find ways to balance my time between my schoolwork, soccer, and after school activities. I am in search for a school that fits my athletic and academic needs. I believe that I am able to compete at a high college level, and make a great impact on the program.
