Tyler Velazquez '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at Montville High School and have a 3.2 GPA.  I am interested in studying Sports Marketing/PreLaw. I have been honor student every semester while challenging myself with AP courses and different Varsity sports such as Wrestling & Track. I am interested in a personal collegiate education and to play competitive team soccer. I appreciate a program that strives for the development of successful athletes and I will give you my 200% work rate to learn.  I hope to develop more strength and to continue advancing technically to the next level of soccer.

I am a Captain of my HS team. I was voted 1st team ALL Eastern CT Conference this season. I have 29 Goals and 11 Assists this fall. In addition to high school and premier, I also play for the U-18 CT ODP Tournament Team. I've played against teams all over New England, PA, NY, and NJ. I also was chosen for the U-18 ODP East Region Pool Team by top New England coaches. My Club team traveled to Florida, playing against the top Illinois and Floridian teams. I was the assist leader for my premier and HS team in 2017-18 season. I also was the second leading scorer on both teams. Last Spring I was chosen to attend the ECC Leadership conference where selected students represented their high schools to discuss sportsmanship and leadership roles of athletes. This year I am recognized as an All-State player and represented my conference in the Connecticut Senior Bowl.
