Paul Flaherty '22 Recruiting Profile

There is no doubt that every student-athlete on this website wants to be recruited. I am no different from them in that respect, but if you give me a chance, I will show how different I am on the field. I give my coaches and teammates 100% intensity, effort, and dedication. I want to be part of a program that sets high expectations for their players because this is the standard I always set for myself. Soccer is about focus and being several steps ahead of the other players. You need an athlete with the ability to see the play before it happens. This is what I do. I am a dynamic player and I know exactly where the ball needs to go before it gets to me.

I am a coachable athlete and I aspire to be the best and to reach my full potential as a soccer player. 

I push myself to excel academically and I have excellent study habits that I believe carry over into my soccer training. Consistency and focus are traits that I believe have contributed to my academic and athletic success. 

I coach elementary school children on a weekly basis and I am also a referee for the local Athletic Youth Soccer Organization. I love coaching the kids and get great satisfaction watching them use the skills that I have taught them. I not only want to share my love of soccer with these kids but also instill in them the habits that I know will help them to succeed. These habits are what have driven me and will continue to do so throughout my athletic journey.
