Being a Brazilian-American, I have been kicking a soccer ball around since the moment I began to walk. Honestly, I have been on some form of team since the age of three, and soccer is truly my passion. Within the town of Weston, I have been a member of numerous teams throughout elementary school to middle school. Once entering high school, I became a starting varsity player in my freshman year and continue to be an active player on our team. I am honored to state that I was named varsity captain for the 2017-2018 season. Outside of school, I also am a competitive player for the Academy for Everton America team that is ranked team within the state of Connecticut.
While being a competitive player, I have learned the importance of balancing my academics along with my passion for soccer. I am proud to say that I have maintained a high B average and am waiting on my ACT results. Overall, I am a hard-working student who is not only involved with sports, but many extra-curricular activities ranging from fundraising for the American Cancer Society to collecting recyclables to help lessen the carbon footprint of our community.
Overall, I am hoping to find a college that will allow me to continue to play soccer on a competitive level, along with pursuing my career goals of becoming a productive member of society within the field of education. I look forward to being part of a team that allows each player to support, encourage and inspire one another, as I am fortunate to have had this throughout high school.
