My name is Nicolas Reyna, and I am a passionate 'futbol' player, born in Caracas, Venezuela.
I've been playing since the age of 5, and I've had the privilege of living and playing in five different cities - Caracas, Miami, Mexico City, Dublin (Ireland), and now Westport, Connecticut.
This global experience has shaped me into a versatile, adaptable, and resilient player with strong leadership skills.
I've had the privilege of competing at some of the highest levels in youth soccer. Starting at the West Ham United Academy in Mexico, where I captained my team every season, leading them to an undefeated championship season. Moving to Ireland at age 12, I joined a local club - Mount Merrion FC, and started as a bench player. Through hard work and determination, I learned a different style of play and earned my way into the starting lineup, where | became an integral part of the team. At the same time, I played for my school's U15 team, where I was captain in Grade 9 and finished as the top scorer and 'Athlete of the Year'. My leadership and consistency also earned me MVP awards for two consecutive seasons and a starting spot on the U19 team as a 15-year-old. I also dedicated my summer breaks to attend player development camps in Spain and England, at Real Madrid and Manchester City programs.
More recently, just three weeks after moving to Connecticut in the summer of 2024, I earned a spot on Staples High School's Varsity team as a sophomore. Following my high school season, I was invited to join Beachside CT club, where I became a starter. My versatility and ability to play as an attacking, central, and defensive midfielder, along with my bilingual communication skills, has allowed me to lead and perform in any team environment.
Futbol isn't just a game for me it's a lifestyle and a passion that has taught me many life lessons. I pride myself on being a leader, a hard worker, and a supportive teammate who never stops striving for excellence. My goal is to bring this drive and determination to the collegiate level and make an immediate impact both on and off the field.
