Ulysses Nelson '25 Recruiting Profile

My one and only sport is soccer. Growing up in a family that has limited experience in competitive sports, I am a complete self starter. No one ever told me to pick up the ball. I did so myself with my parents' help, love, and support, and belief in my dedication and love for the sport. I have been playing more seriously than ever for the past three or so years; I started playing for my high school JV team, then moved up to varsity and have been a starter in two different club teams. I have also had a wonderful opportunity to join the DCXI men's team, competing at an extremely high and competitive level against men's amateur and college level players. The idea of college, let alone college soccer, has always excited me. I am very curious and also anxious for any possible opportunities. I plan for my sports and athletic career to continue through college and beyond.

Regarding academics, I have been a student in the International Baccalaureate program since pre-K with a focus on the Chinese-language track. As an IB learner, I feel that I am well-prepared for college.
