Colin Norton-Garcia '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Colin Norton Garcia, I’m a 17 year old MLS NEXT 2008 goalkeeper for Florida Rush. I attend Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, Florida. My passion for soccer began at the age of three as both a field player, and, in the goal. I have been under contract with the MLS NEXT organization since 2020.  In 2022, I was scouted and asked to play with MCR in the Tres Copa tournament throughout Spain; winning three out of the four tournaments. MCR invited me back that following summer. Both summers was given the opportunity to train with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico. This past summer I was nominated and attended the EXACT International Goalkeeper Academy trip to England. There, I was able to train and play at Tranmere Rovers Football Club. Earning MVP during our last game. Additionally, training at Fleetwood Town International Football Academy. During my 2023-2024 season, I was asked to play on the U19’s 2005 MLS NEXT team for Florida Rush. I was so grateful for my coach and teammates for giving me the opportunity to grow and expand my capabilities as a player and as an individual. That year, that team won the league, which qualified them to play in the MLS NEXT Cup playoffs in Tennessee, coming in as one of the top 16 teams in the nation. December 2024, I participated in Keeper Wars Ink, with a combined bracket of u16’s to u19’s coming in third. That qualified me to be one of the finalist for Keeper Wars Nationals Championship this past July 2024, placing me in the U17's bracket as a finalist. When I am not on the field, I enjoy hanging out with friends and playing video games. One Bible verse that gets me through the game and through life is Philippians 4:13- “ I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
