Personal Statement
My name is Maximilian Clivio and I play Left Back and Center Back. I began playing soccer in Kingston Jamaica, where I played both at High School and Club Level (Ballaz Academy). While in Jamaica I was playing Under-14 and Under-16 soccer for both my club and school. During a camp in Jamaica I was selected to visit and play with Willem II (Eredivisie) in the Netherlands, under Coach Roy Wilhelm. While in the Netherlands I trained with the first academy team for a week. I have also been to UNC Chapel Hill and Georgetown summer ID camps. After that I moved to Miami Florida, where I have played for the past three years. Presently I play (and am a starter) for Kendall Soccer Academy in the US Soccer Development Academy, I have also played Varsity Level at my School Gulliver Prep. Over the past years I have been given many report cards from coaches, in the Netherlands and in Miami, my strong points have always been attitude and “coachabilty”, where I have always received top grades. My other strong points have always been ability to read the game, make plays, and my ability to use both my left and right feet (I am a natural leftie). I am calm and composed on the field and I am a good header of the ball. I am currently enrolled in the International Baccaularatte program at Gulliver Prep and I have a 4.14 GPA.
