The first sport I ever played was soccer. I played when I was about three years old and absolutely hated it, however after a few tries and experiences with other sports I eventually went back a few years later and grew to love the game with a passion. Nowadays I know nearly everything about soccer whether it be from facts about today to information about things that happened way before I was even born. It seemed only fit that my aspirations for this sport were to go pro. Due to my passion toward soccer, and my desire to play at a higher level, I joined my first travel. I was the most energetic and willing kid on my team. After my family moved however, we also ended up switching clubs to a more local team due to my craving to continue playing soccer. During my first season I guest played for the A team in my age group since I had joined them half way through the year. However, the following season I was dropped all the way to C team in my age group. I was shattered and distraught. I made it my goal to get back to the top and play my best with my current team. I stood out on my team as I was one of the best players there due to my attitude and aspiration to become better and reclaim my spot on the A team. Eventually tryouts rolled around and I was ready to prove how I had improved over the course of the previous season. I put everything I had into tryouts and after their completion, my parents had received a phone call saying I had been accepted into the A team and all the club needed was confirmation that I wanted to take the spot. After my parents recounted the details of the phone call to me, the hole in my chest was refilled and I was so happy. Ever since then, I've been with the same club on the same team for almost 4 years now; and I was once even captain of the team however I had gotten a serious leg injury and had to be out for a long time. Now that I'm old enough, I'm looking towards going to higher level since I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm maintaining good grades which is something that colleges check with extreme prejudice before they recruit any athlete so since I'm doing that part alright I figured I had every incentive to achieve my dream of going to the highest level.
