When I was four, my dad brought home a Messi jersey and a Rooney jersey from Europe. I would wear them every day and I still have them. This influence led me to take an extreme fondness for soccer. And it has motivated me to continue to work hard at what I love to do. I grew up with two passions in life: academics and sports. I played other sports (tennis, swimming, basketball, and cross country) while I played club soccer when I was young. I played AAU basketball under a former NBA player, Matt Harpring in middle school until 8th grade when I started to focus solely on soccer. I am very determined to get better at soccer and so I train at least once or sometimes twice daily, even when my family goes on vacation. I have been playing ECNL/ECNL RL level at Concorde Fire for the last four years. I can play everywhere in the backline and at the defensive mid. As a player, I have great physical attributes and can distribute the ball forward, and can reset the play. I am working hard and will become a more skilled player. As a center back, I am very vocal to lead the backline and often everyone in front of the backline. I communicate and am a leader on the field. I have been a starter and playing a full game on our high school varsity team since my freshman year. I was awarded the "Coach's Award" for my outstanding performance on and off the field as a freshman. During my sophomore year, I led our team to win the State Championship and I was recognized as 2021 first-team All-Region boys soccer player. I want to win more state championships for my high school and continue to play at a high level in club soccer.
My life motto is to strive for excellence. I am a leader in the classrooms and in school. I am an all-A student and am taking the hardest classes that my school offers as a sophomore and as a junior. In college, I would like to study science or engineering in the most academically challenging environment. At the same time, I would like to continue to play soccer that I love the most at the collegiate level.
