I am Tristan Clarisse and I am currently 16 years old. I began playing soccer at the young age of 6 years old and absolutely fell in love with the sport. To this day I still have the same love and passion; if not more than before. I live and breathe soccer; it is a major part of my life and has had a great influence on who I am as a person and my values. The hardwork and late nights spent training in my past years allowed me to become technically superior to my teammates on the pitch. Nonetheless, I am incredibly humble and a good teammate, constantly playing for the benefit of the team and encouraging others; this earned me the Coach's Spirit Award in 2017. Currently, I am a regular starter for my school team and a competetive soccer club outside of high school, Concorde Fire.
I do deeply aspire to play competetive soccer in university (D1), and I undeniably desire that playing competetively in college (D1) will enable myself to earn an opportunity to play proffessionally. Nevertheless, I realise that soccer can be undependable and my career can end in the blink of an eye for many reasons. Because of this, I desire to have the opportunity to play at a university that has an exceptional soccer program and is exceptional in academics (Student - Athlete). I know that I will strive at academically advanced and demanding universities because of my exemplary academic ability; I've been listed on the Honor Roll in middle school and high school in Singapore and in the US numerous times, and currently possess a 4.0 gpa in my junior year. My friends, other athletes, and coaches know me as a player who seeks to improve those around him in order to help his team via physical excellence and emotional leadership both on and off the field. I know that I am able to face challenges with bravery and I am able to overcome them myself, however I know who and when to seek support from when needed. I am able to stay composed and excel in high pressure situations, and I do think that I have what it takes to advance to the highest level of football.
What I excel at: Able to keep possession of the ball well, pass and deliver the ball quickly and perfectly at the right times and places, and great decision making abilities under pressure or not and I play for the benefit of the team.
