Ulises Garcia '21 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has always been in my blood, coming from a country where that is all they played. My roots have been futbol since the day I was born, I have learned the game under many coaches and most importantly people who have played professionally. I know what it takes to play for a top team and I believe I know the game more than the kids my age. I have seen various styles of play from street to tactical, however I have adapted to have my own style of elegance and simplicity. Futbol is a sport that has shaped me into a leader, a hard worker, and a responsible athlete. I can say I had the opportunity to play against top teams around the region and amateur teams outside of the country, from playing against national league teams to playing games with teams dominating the region in Mexico. I can control the pace of the game with my communication in the backline, and I am aware of the different styles of play from possession, to fast build-up, to building from the back. I can bring leadership, comfortability, and confidence in the backline with ease. In the classroom, I transfer these skill sets to complete work hence the high GPA for a student-athlete. I believe in integrity, and I believe in self-betterment not only for me but for the people around me. I know my profile and record do not show much of my skill due to various reasons but I am not here to put excuses. This 2021 season will show you who I truly am.
