Personal Statement
In my last season with my club team from New Jersey, we made it to the championship of the New Jersey President's Cup. At the time, it was my most memorable moment of my soccer career. Although we lost, it motivated me to push myself to get better at the sport that I have called "mine" since I was five. When I moved from New Jersey to Savannah, Georgia in the summer going into freshman year, I had to start from scratch to build up my trust and reputation from my teachers and coaches this time in a new environment. I had to build up my work-ethic and prove myself in both the classroom and on the field, this was the time that learned to grow as a student and an athlete. It was not easy but it led me to my greatest achievement, starting on my varsity team as a freshman for my high school and advancing to the Elite Eight in state playoffs.
This journey has helped me to improve my effort, character, reputation, and a little leadership. My goals for high school are being able to keep my grades up for all four years especially since I am attending a very reputable academic school and also starting on varsity for my remaining three years. I would be very fortunate to attend your school to continue my soccer journey and hope that I could be a difference to your school both on the field and academically.
