Vas Karanxha '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Vas Karanxha, I'm 17 years old, and I've been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I moved to the United States when I was just 5 years old, I didn't know anyone here nor did I know how to speak any english but what I did know is that I loved to play soccer. I created my life here around soccer and ever since I started club soccer at the age of 8 I had one goal, the same goal I'm working towards today which is to play college soccer and succeed while doing it. I'm not the type of person who looks for handouts or has had things handed to them, I'm the type of person who works for what they want no matter the circumstances and sacrifices. 

Soccer to me is more than a game, it's my way of life. There are thousands of kids out there who want the same thing I want which is to play college soccer at the highest level possible. Unlike many of the other candidates who want to play college soccer, I'm willing to go the extra mile. I believe that there is nothing stopping me from achieving my goal because I am more hungry, more dedicated, willing to put in my absolute most, and I will not let obstacles and challenges stop me from doing so. I'm a very hard working player and will always give my all no matter the situation. Im motivated to get better and better each day personally but also as a whole with my team and help them get better as well. I work well with others and build good relationships with my teammates because I believe that team chemistry is very important. 

Growing up I would hear the same thing over and over again from my parents, family members, and coaches, they would tell me "you cant go anywhere in life without school". Those words stuck with me my whole life, my academic career is very important to me and is something I will never let myself slack on. Throughout high school, I've taken numerous honors and AP classes and am currently taking honors and AP classes this senior school year. My current GPA this semester is a 5.5/5 and my accumulative is a 4.3/5. I look forward to going to a where I can pursue my academic desires and earn a quality degree.
