Personal Statement
My goal, first and foremost, is to play soccer at the collegiate level. I believe I can obtain a quality education at almost any school, due to my discipline and hard work ethic both on and off the field. I currently have a GPA in High School of +3.6. I have been raised in a Christian family and very active in my church and faith. I have been taught by my parents to always be respectful and to work hard for what I want. I play both High School and Club Soccer. In High School I started starting Varsity as a holding midfielder as a sophomore in a 4-2-3-1 formation. I traveled an hour each way two to three times per week to play club soccer for Quincy United. I started at a center midfield position for my club team. During my 2016 High School season, I scored 12 goals and had 18 assists. I have a good awareness of what is happening all over the field. Im a vocal player and talk constantly to my teammates. As of my 2017 season I was a captain on my high school team and I was selected for the position by my teammates. During my 2017 Club season I was selected a captain by my coach. One of my strongest characteristics is my ability to encourage and lift up my teammates.
I played my freshman year of college soccer at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA. I have decided not to return due to frustrations with the school, however I had a good season last year and played a significant amount of minutes. I am hoping to attend school online for first semester due to COVID and then attend the school of choice in person 2nd semester to play soccer and take classes.
