- 2021 Highlights
Personal Statement
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am a strategic, competitive student athlete who enjoys multiple sports. I am very dedicated to my studies and currently have a 4.0 GPA. Due to COVID-19, my fall season has been pushed back to the spring. I have spent my time training with a local trainer as well as running. I have made the best of the time by job shadowing with a local veterinarian, working part time at a local pizza restaurant and adding a significant course load this year. My plan is to have 27 hours of college credit coming out of high school. Between basketball, softball, and volleyball, I have a passion for volleyball and have been enjoying the sport since I was a little girl. Most people would call me a gym rat. My mom is the varsity coach and I have been hooked on volleyball for the past 9 years. She led my class to a state tournament when I was in 7th grade. We won the Illinois 4A state title! It was such a great experience! We retuned the following year but unfortunately lost in the first round. My freshman year I was excited to start the varsity team and went on to break the high school assist record. The following year I returned to break the record again as well as breaking the school record for points served. I have a strong sense of the game and feel confident I can play in a setter or defense specialist position.
My parents are very supportive of my athletics as well as my education. I am looking for a college experience where I can grow as a person as well as an athlete. I enjoy challenges and am not afraid of hard work. I am hopeful my future teammates will see me as a leader and someone they can depend on.
I am looking to study the health care major, but unsure which role fits me best.
I look forward to hearing from you!
