Personal Statement

Born and raised in Germany,  my love for this beautiful game flowed through my veins at an early age. Both watching and playing the sport are an integral part of the German culture. Nothing compares to World Cup fever in Europe! During my 14 years living abroad, I have trained on both American and German teams, travelled to over 6 plus countries to play the game and benefited from the comraderie of multi-national tournaments. I played on a German team for over six years, and received training from former Bundesliga players while also playing on various American based high school and US Youth Soccer Select and Olympic Development Program (ODP) Europe traveling teams. Now that I am living stateside, I would like to take my passion for the sport to the next level and join a collegiate team. As a stellar student, I have found the balance between following a passion on the field while pursuing one in the classroom. Leadership opportunities both on and off the field have strengthened my character and helped me forge strong relationships with my teammates.
