For college, I always knew that I wanted to stay active and be a part of the school I choose to go to. Competing in a college sport allows me to do both of those things. My goal is to work hard on not only my schoolwork but also on becoming the best possible swimmer I can be. I want to learn and grasp as much as I can to prepare myself in the future, and I believe swimming in college will help me achieve those goals. I am what my coaches call a "quiet leader". I may not be the loudest on the team or lead the whole group at practice, but I will talk with my teammates one-on-one to ensure they understand their value to the team. I always try to bring my best attitude forward and use that positivity to guide the team into becoming a swim-family. I believe that everyone has something to offer to the table and that speed is not the most important aspect to a team. Rather, attitude and commitment impact a team more than anything else. I believe those two things also are what leads someone to become successful in a school or work setting. Having positivity and being committed to working hard and further improving yourself is what will help you become the most successful person you can be. I will choose to follow that path to finish out high school and to use that to guide me through college and in my future career.
