I want to play the game I love at the collegiate level and help my team find success. I attend Gibault Catholic High School, which is a school of 250 students, but our soccer team has made it to the Illinois State Tournament the past two years.
Going to the state tournament in back-to-back years has been the highlight of my career. I am an integral defensive player for the team. The state runs gave me a lot of confidence, but they have also humbled me. In two state runs, we won third in 1A in 2016, then second in 2A in 2017. I was an influential player by aiding defensively and by starting attacks as a central defensive midfielder. Leading the team to success on and off the field caused me to be named a captain for my senior year. As a captain, I will lead by example, which is driven by my technical understanding of the game and a strong work ethic. I am very motivated to lead our team back to state for the third year.
I possess the ability to be successful both on and off the soccer field. Furthermore, I am looking for a program that will challenge me academically, further my character development and my soccer ability.
