Having the ability to compete in the semi-state championship game during my junior year was the highlight of my high school career thus far. It was the first time in my high school history a team has gone that far in a sport. I have been playing soccer all of my life and decided to dedicate my time to the sport during my freshman year of high school when my team made it to the sectional championship game. I can't remember a time that I didn't want to play soccer and my goal is to play soccer for as long as I can in my life. Soccer has taught me many different lessons during my time playing that sport. I have learned leadership, hard work pays off, do not give up, and stay positive. I learned through the sport that I always can learn something new, I can always get better, and I can do great things in life.
My overall academic goals for high school are to finish with an academic honors diploma, keep my GPA above 4.0, and challenge myself academically. For college, my goals are to get into a good engineering program, continue challenging myself to improve myself, and finish college at the top of my class. Throughout my journey I have had to overcome different obstacles as older teammates telling me to quit, people putting me down throughout my high school soccer career, and fighting to stay on varsity all 4 years of high school. As a student-athlete I possess the will to never quit something until I have achieved that goal and to continue to put 100% effort into everything I do.
