I am passionate about my academics! I never received less than an A in my academic career until high school and even then, it counted as an A because it was an honors course. I take every honors, AP, dual credit course available. I currently have a 4.45/4.0. I even doubled up in math last year as a sophomore and will hopefully double up in math again my senior year. Math is definitely my strength and what I plan to major in; I am thinking about Accounting and plan to see if accounting electives might fit into my loaded schedule next year. I have taken two foreign languages; I also tested out of Spanish I and when I finished Honors dual credit Spanish III last year, I moved on to Honors Greek I this year and plan to take Honors Greek II next year. My greatest scholarly achievement was competing in the Scripps National Spelling Bee where I spelled both of my words correctly on ESPN; getting to that level was my goal since grade school.
Playing soccer is my happy place and I dream of the next level! I was recruited for Jr. Irish when I was 7 where I led the team in goals year after year and was even recognized regionally; the majority of us moved to a different club together a few years ago. Since joining Echo Premier, I have been captain, led the team in goals and assists, and we won state this year. I made the Indy Premier Elite I team this year and will even play on their national team, traveling to Florida in December, Arizona in April, and Texas in June. When I entered middle school, I was not only the sole fifth grader to make the varsity but I also was the only player to score in every city championship; I was also captain as an upperclassman. I have led my high school varsity team all three years in goals, game-winning goals, and points; I even led in assists this year. I earned 1st team all-district this year and will play in the all-state games on November 6, as well as go to the all-state banquet the next day. I just found out I also received Academic All-State. I earned 1st team all-conference the past two years and 2nd team all-district last year. I was the only junior captain of my team, was chosen to represent my school as a Northern Indiana conference leader, and was Spirit Night Sports Captain for two years. I have been on the South Bend Lions since freshman year.
I am very proud of my leadership roles and contributing to my school’s community and spirit! I have been a school ambassador all three years and I was chosen as a City Youth Leader last year. I have been chosen for the National Honor Society and Student Council this year; I was chosen for Homecoming Court the past two years. I joined the Euchre Club this year and am hoping to join the Quiz Bowl. I was in the Spanish Club for two years and am in the Greek Club this year where I designed the t-shirt. In my free time, I love to play and watch sports; my family and friends like to test my sports knowledge because I am very good at trivia. I was the captain of the freshman and JV (and middle school) basketball teams; I practiced with the Varsity as a sophomore. Because of the rigor of my new travel soccer teams, I cannot play basketball this year; however, the team and coaches have asked me to still sit with the team during games and help out when I can. Because of spring travel soccer, I gave up baseball when I entered high school after a very successful career of winning the World Series as well as being the runners-up previously; I was the captain as well as led the teams in several stats.
