Personal Statement

Hi my name is Sebastien Cabral,

I am 18 years of age and soccer has been my passion for as long as i can remember.

I always had an idea of College and University soccer and have been up to date with recent events that take place in the United States. I intend to play for a division one school and want to win as much titles and trophies as possible with the team, and hopefully attain all American status and eventually get drafted into the MLS. Many past teammates of mine who played on the same team have graduated and moved on to play on division one teams in the US such as George Mason University, Belmont University, Georgia Tech, Charlston University and Villanova.

I will make a good candidate for many schools because i am a very technical Left Winger/ Right Winger or Attacking Midfielder who loves to create and orchestrate counterattacks and win games. I love to train and workout, i am usually the first one on the pitch and the last one to leave as i have developed a mentality that the way a player trains is the way he will play in a game. I believe there is only one way to play a game and that is to win and i believe i am a good candidate for many coaches teams as I am a player who wins games in the dying minutes. On numerous occasions for my high school team, in the important matches and derby's i have been the player who has scored the 'game winner' and won games for my team. I have gained al ot of experience from playing football all over my country and in Barbados and has also brought me in the pool of my countries U20 national team. I have trained in many camps including spending a summer in Real Madrid Foundation Camp in a summer camp in 2013 that has brought me in contact with Spanish coaches up to this day who have believed that my talent was quite noticeable.

I am different from the other recruits because not only am I determined, focused and talented but I am very respectful and I love to train and won't take any moment on the pitch for granted. I intend to make every moment valuable and memorable, not only for myself but for my family, my country and also the school/college/university i am representing. Therefore i intend to bring glory through my feet and win many titles for my school and team. I have been a starter on my high school team and club team for 2 years continuously and have gained a lot of match experience and scored many goals and assists in my 3 years of playing for my Championship Division High School team, which is the highest level of soccer in my country for a school team. In terms of academics, I have been involved with soccer on a very serious scale, many times training everyday since i was 7 years old and therefore have learned how to balance sport and school very well. I believe academics is very important in exceeding in life and i have learned that sport and academics compliment each other. Therefore, I am different than the other recruits as i am fully capable of maintaining a high level of performance on the pitch as well as an equally in the classroom.

Overall, I Love Soccer and I love to win, and i intend to win at all levels and bring glory for my team. I love being apart of a team and working as a unit to win games, trophies and titles. Once the ball is at my feet and there are 10 other players on my team wearing the same color jersey as myself, it's all over.
