FERNANDO ARTERO '18 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer since I am four years old because my father wanted me to follow his steps. My father has been a student athlete and I aspire to be like him and play in college as well as study for law. I believe that playing soccer in the United States is a great opportunity that can offer me life changing options academic and athletics wise. 

In the pitch I give it all day by day to become a better soccer player. I don't like to lose and that's why I do my best every game and encourage my teammates to do so as well. Being the captain of the varsity team has showed me how to become a leader and how to support my peers. I am skillful with the ball and can use both feet. I would describe myself as a team player because I always try to assist my teammates and sometimes even prefer an assist over a goal. I can also help the team by playing in other positions such as centre defensive midfielder and even centre back. As a student I do my best every week. If there is something I am struggling with I do my best until I understand it and then try to help others.
