Abdullah Iqbal '24 Recruiting Profile

I am in my senior year at Waukee Northwest High School. My goal is to play at the highest level of collegiate soccer and pursue a career after college. I play a decisive role within my team by being a captain and showing leadership.

 There are a few things that make me stand out amongst other forwards. My main attribute is my ability to create chances and score goals. A key part of my game as a striker is my ability to hold up the ball as a target nine and also win aerial duels using my strength and size. On the flip side of being a target nine, my game varies by using my speed to make runs in behind. I am good on the ball as I like to drive at defenders directly and beat them. I like to drop down as well to receive the ball and keep possession. 

I would like to attend a university with good academics, alongside a competitive soccer program that will help me grow as a player and an individual
