Hello! My name is Jacob Anderson and I have been around the game of soccer since the time I was 4. The game is a passion of mine I love like no other. One thing I absolutely love is competition. My club team currently plays in tournaments only however we are competing against the top division 1 and 2 teams from around the area, Experiencing this constant level of play has helped to push my game to a whole new stage over the past few years. It has taught me to think fast not only with, but without the ball. I have learned the art of communication and how much of an impact I can have in a game even when the ball is not at my foot. Most of my club career I have played the center mid spot. With saying that, it has been a more attacking role. However with moving into my high school career, I have transitioned into playing a striker role. Knowing how to do both helps me all throughout the field. I have learned how to make more attacking runs in behind the defense to create chances for not only me but my teammates around me as well.
The classroom is extremely important to me also. I hold myself accountable with every assignment I get. The same way I do on the field. This year especially, I have challenged myself with upper level classes. Being able to balance these, as well as having time for soccer has been an accomplishment in its own. I have managed to keep an astounding GPA while all at the same time, improve my game on the field in immense ways the younger me could have never imagined.
