My name is Carlos Felipe Huezo. I was born in California, but I grew up in Honduras. Honduras is a country where soccer plays an important role in society. Being this the case, my passion for soccer started since I was 4 years old and I've been playing since then. I played soccer in Honduran league teams, high school, and I attended Real Madrid and AC Milan summer camps in order to improve my skills. My goal is to play soccer in college and have better opportunities in my life. In June, I came to New Orleans to try out for the Chicago Fire. They selected me and I moved to New Orleans to play soccer with them and to finish my senior year.
Being able to earn a soccer scholarship and graduate from college are my short-term goals. I aspire to be able to play soccer in college and at the same time study hard to become a great doctor. My dream is to become an orthopedic surgeon. I love helping people, and I know that by becoming an orthopedic surgeon I will be able to contribute in the health of people. Being a witness of an improvement in someone's life and knowing that you were able to contribute to that change is one of the most rewarding things in life.
I am a very hard working person and I believe that with discipline and perseverance everything is possible. I will work as hard as I can in order to be able to achieve all of my goals, aspirations and dreams.
