Resilience. It’s the one word all my coaches have complimented me on. I’ve never was as fit as I am now. I used to be overweight and I was bullied but I wanted better for me. I started playing soccer at the age of 13. In one summer I dropped 30 pounds. I got taller and stronger. I’ve lost many games and finals and each time it hurt. Just like Maya Angelo I rise. I’m confident and I do not settle for the minimum and I strive to be better.
