Timothy Shaia '22 Recruiting Profile

If I had to describe myself in one word, I'd say I'm driven. I'm driven in school to get straight A's even when I'm in college. I want to study in economics to become an economist. I'm interested in our economy and the oppression that happens within it.  Even on the soccer, field I'm driven. It was recently during my first year on the high school soccer team that I've really become driven. Soccer is the highlight of my day and always will be. It is not because I get to scrimmage or because I dream of making that one game winning save. It is because want to be unstoppable. When I look at good soccer players, I see the same thing, I see the difference they make on the soccer field. I see the power they have to rule the game. I'm driven to do the same. I want to stop every shot and win every ball. As a goalkeeper I know more than anyone that nobody's perfect but as someone who doesn't allow failure to have the last word, I look forward to correcting my mistakes. I love getting stronger where I'm weak and abolishing my flaws. Its the feeling of hard work, responsibility and my determination that drives me to be the best. There is no other option but to work to be the best. I'll work while others sleep. I will always make time, through rain or sun shine, it's my hunger for power that will allow me to become the best and nothing will change that.
