My name is Jack Semler. I've been playing soccer since I was about 7 years old. I started on a rec team quickly went to travel and started club soccer before I finished elementary school. I've moved up through the ranks in club soccer and now proudly for an NPL 1 team. As a freshman in high school I played JVA and I was one of only three sophomores who made the varsity team the following year. Amherst has a division 1 high school team and I was starting by the end of the season. In the Spring of 2020 I had an injury and it turned out there was extra bone in my foot. I had surgery to have it removed and after PT and time to heal, I'm back on the field. I stayed committed to my high school team during this time and went to all the practices and games even though I wasn't yet clear to play. I'm an offensive player and play striker or wing. My club team is playing in the Masschusetts State Cup currently and in May we head to the USL Academy Cup in Tampa, Florida. It's been great to get back on the field and it's been a great season so far.
My goal is to play college soccer. I see myself having a career in athletics and I'm interested in become a personal trainer when I turn 18 and ultimately owning my own gym. Studying business would help me reach this goal. I'm a good student and I work hard. My GPA is around a 3.4. I'm looking for my best match college and to further myself as both a student and an athlete.
